Pentax sensor quality

I have bought a Optio 750z some day ago and have uncovered the presence of 12 hot/dead pixel in the sensor, in three square of 2x2. Is a normal condition or not? I have as soon as given back one optio 555 with the same defect. Possible that the level of quality of the sensors of the pentax is therefore low. The producer is to acquaintance of the defect and sells the camera equally or is one abnormal condition?
