Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC Lens owners

i'm really started considering this lens with the 20D .. how dose it really preforme with the 20D ..and how is the sharpness and the contrast ..colors compared to canon glass .. and is there a huge diffrence in focus speed and the noise of the AF .. compared to the 17-40L and if anyone got some samples i would love to see thanks alot
