G2 - where to repair in UK? help pls!

Hi all,

A work colleague has a problem with her Canon G2, and I though you guys might be able to help? It has a problem in that it reports the lens cap is still on when it isn't....so probably something electrical. Maybe even this was a problem with a firmware fix? (I wouldn't have noticed, I usually hang out in the Nikon forums).

Someone quoted her £240 for Canon to look at it! So does anyone have experience with other people looking at Canon cameras? Tales of woe or of joy appreciated, recomendations etc...
