Nothing can beat the effect of film grain on a Black and White image. It coverts the photograph into a timeless piece of art. Film had a distinct advantage over digital when it came to grain, as digital noise didnt give the same effect. But with advanced image-editing softwares and plug-ins its possible to replicate the effect.

This is part of the brick fence built by the spaniards in Manila during colonial period. The top of the fence is wide enough to allow guards to walk around. They even have cannons on standby to ward off any attacks.
