Nothing can beat the effect of film grain on a Black and White image. It coverts the photograph into a timeless piece of art. Film had a distinct advantage over digital when it came to grain, as digital noise didnt give the same effect. But with advanced image-editing softwares and plug-ins its possible to replicate the effect.

The depth of the contrast of the tree's was astounding with the eye, Mono really tweaked the strike of the mist and film grain did give a new character to the image. I can almost still smell the pine in the air and feel the crisp air on my cheek and hear crunch of needles under foot.
