Panning
Challenge has finished
No, it's not an invitation for you to critically savage one another, but some encouragement to practise your technique. As winter draws in (for some of us), and the light gets worse, panning lets you use low ISOs and still get a good picture - it should also level the playing field for compact camera owners. So get out there and shoot something fast (or make it look fast).

| Notes: | Truck pulled with a piece of string, camera attempted to move along same direction on a skateboard.. but looking retrospectively, not much camera movement has occured. the truck pulled slowly after an initial 2 second delay to preserve its details. time and focal length manipulated to get a decent exposure with sharpening and cropping in iphoto. The movement and blur obtained gives an illusion of speed. |
