In this challenge, let us see examples of spots or dots in nature, perhaps on flowers, plants, tree bark, insects or spiders, wild (undomesticated) animals or birds, the first drops of rain on dry ground, etc. By 'spot' I mean a mark on a surface differing sharply in colour or texture from its surroundings. I found this one nicely camouflaged in the desert in Western Australia. The 'armour plating' would help it to survive the harsh conditions thee.
