Syria & Lebanon: Their People

Challenge #48 in the around the world in 80 ways series. Hosted by santamonica812.
Challenge has finished
The two amazing countries have seen the effects of war, and so it's hard to gauge how many people have visited here. Show us the face of an elderly man, lines carved by the years. Or the adorable fresh faces of a group of young kids. There is so much character is their faces, it's hard to go wrong. If there is an unexpectedly large turnout and the challenge fills up quickly (ie, within the first few days), then I'll expand the number of entries. As usual for my challenges, Entrants are required to (1) vote for each other entry, (2) read the comments (if any) below this challenge, in case I or other entrants post with Rules questions or clarifications, and (3) follow each of the challenge rules...including voting WITHIN THE FIRST SIX DAYS of the challenge.

This photo shows happy little boys playing with toy-guns in Hama Syria, back in 2000. Now, presumably, they are warriors on the Syrian civil war (regardless on which side) , which is destroying their peaceful and wonderful country. Pitty !
