Laser Light

Challenge #4 in the Capturing Science and Nature series. Hosted by rossdoyle.
Challenge has finished
Lasers are quantum mechanical wonders that have come to have many uses, even in everyday life. Scientists and engineers use them because they have useful properties such as being monochromatic (spectrally pure), collimated (highly directional and tightly concentrated for long distances), and coherent (all their waves in phase, so able to form diffraction patterns). As a photographer, we can use laser light to capture something interesting, whether it is a glowing representation of modern technology, or a cool play of light not possible with ordinary sources. For this challenge, photos are invited which feature some illumination by laser light as a creative element in the scene.
