Challenge #63 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
Some insects have amazing see-through wings, which appear to be extremely fragile, though they probably aren't. Show us examples of these wings, their beauty and their interesting structure. Macro and close-up shots welcome. Where possible, if the insect is still alive it should be outside in its natural environment. MAXIMUM SIZE 1,600px.
