Challenge has finished
In this challenge, show us interesting and beautiful lichens; the beauty and interesting details that can be found in their textures, and colours. These are some of the very earliest plant-life of the ancient world. The lichens should be outside in their natural environment if possible. Macro and close-up photos are welcome. (Mosses, which have different botanical structures will have their own challenge later.) Refer to Wikipedia for Lichen: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lichen SIZE: 1,600px MAXIMUM ON LONGER SIDE.
