Legacy of Nuclear Waste

Challenge #6 in the Various Imaginations series. Hosted by dark goob.
Challenge has finished
Nuclear waste is piling up everywhere. Nobody wants to put it in their back yard. But what is nuclear waste? What does it look like? Where are we going to put it? How are we going to transport it? Please don't break any laws or injure yourself in trying to get pictures for this challenge. Nuclear waste is highly dangerous. Use a long zoom lens. Don't get close. Duh. Images captured from remotely controlled cameras or robotically controlled cameras are acceptable as long as you owned the equipment. People forget about this problem that grows every day and still has no solution. Please vote for the most jarring image that truly reminds us of what it is that we face.

Spent nuclear fuel storage facility in Japan. Taken in the mid-90's in Tokai (this fuel has probably since been reprocessed at Rokkasho).
