Imperfect Beauty

Challenge #50 in the Life in the Natural World series. Hosted by RuthC.
Challenge has finished
In this challenge, show us examples of flowers, leaves, trees or plants or other natural phenomenon, which are no longer perfect in form, but their beauty has been enhanced by defects. Perhaps the subject has been chewed by an insect, or damaged by the wind or rain, or old age. Macro and close-up shots welcome. Insects or spiders may be present, but should not dominate the picture. Subjects should be taken outside in their natural environment, not inside under studio lights. SIZE: 1,600px MAXIMUM ON LONGER SIDE.
