But it can only be your photo of something they made (a document to the fact), NOT their photographic work as such. Object-wise, anything goes, so try to present it well - and PLEASE OBSERVE THE RULES!

Processing rules:

Digitally taken photos with EXIF only.
Longer side of the photo MUST NOT be over 1600px.
Format and Aspect may be as you please.
No noticeable Post-Processing interventions.
No Composite photos allowed - One-Shot photo contents only.
No Frames nor Borders allowed.
No time-stamps, watermarks, nor any other kind of author-identifying data.

No restrictions.

Explain in the Description Field what we're looking at.
Observe DPR Rules on decency. Entries which may offend the viewer in any sense will be disqualified.
Your Entry MUST have a proper Title. Titles containing camera or archive codes, which don't mean anything to the Viewers, will cause disqualification.
Constructive commenting under other entrants' images is encouraged.

Carved Work Boot

My father used to make many things with wood. He left me this carving of a "work boot". He also made the knife that carved it, blurred out in the background. I wittled some wood chips around this for effect.

The first time I saw this photo in your gallery, the shavings reminded me of toenail clippings... which is exactly what would happen to my feet if I attempted to slip them into a wooden boot. I'm relieved to know they are wood shavings! You come by your talent honestly - this is a very nice piece of work. Congratulations!

This is a really beautiful example of wood carving. You must be very proud of your father's achievements, and to know you have a family heirloom with wonderful history. Great photographic capture, with just the right lighting and ambience. Congratulations!
