Star Trails
Challenge has finished
Star trails are a great element to include in a long exposure. They tend to help tie other elements together in an otherwise blank space. This challenge, I would like for you to create a composition that includs star trails. That being said, here are a few tips on how to get stars to show correctly in the frame:
1. Use a single exposure. Modern DSLRs usually can eliminate most of the noise that comes with long exposures, and can be cleaned up further in post-processing. (Yes, you can post-process in the challenge).
2. Photograph in a place where light pollution is minimal (for example, in or near a city or busy highway), unless this is to be a part of the image itself.
