Photos taken outside in the natural environment, not under studio lights. Macro shots and close-ups only. SIZE: 1,600px MAXIMUM ON LONGER SIDE.

Digital photos only, with full EXIF data.
Colour only.
No HDR.
Don't remove the background.
TITLE: Give your entry a title, not just an photo number.
NO watermarks or forms of identification, or personal website references.

No restrictions.

Something Stinks

I believe these are Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Nymphs and Eggs. I found these on one of my butterfly bushes last Summer. Didn't know what they were then, so they survived (I guess). Apparently, they are a pretty invasive species.

Very interesting shot, do you know what the nymphs are doing? Protecting the eggs?

Hi ysal,
I'm not sure what they are doing. Unfortunately, I didn't really pay close enough attention to them, so I can't say. Most of the eggs there were already hatched though. Maybe next season, I'll get another view of the action. ;o)
