image must make us at least believe that it could be a view of a distant and different future (IOW while homeless people may still occupy park benches in 2112, it's also the same reality in 2012, so depictions like this will be disqualified -- show us something different from what we would see today)

Speeding up depletion of natural resources, unimaginable climate changes and disasters due to a man-induced greenhouse effect soon will lead people and nations to fight for another day of living and - in the end - the third... the last world war. The only signs of our existence will be the remains that somehow withstood our self-destructive nature.
