Wild About Wildflowers

This challenge is to showcase those flowers which grow in the countryside, without human cultivation or attention. Your entry can be a Macro shot of a single flower, a cluster of them on a plant, or fields of flowers; alpine wildflowers, or deserts in bloom after rain.... Show us these flowers outside in their natural environment, not under studio lights. No garden flowers such as roses, hibiscus, daffodils, etc. Small creatures may be present, but should not dominate the picture. SIZE: 1,600px MAXIMUM ON LONGER SIDE.
