Capture a subject in motion by panning the camera. Panning is a technique whereby you use a slow shutter speed and move the camera as the subject moves. Some part of the subject should be clear while the background is blurred.

This challenge is for using the camera to create the effect NOT for using Photoshop or other software to create the blur in post processing. Minimal post processing ( cropping, exposure and white balance adjustments are ok).

That's indeed what panning is alright. Pretty much the same way I took this shot, with my feet and legs as the subject, shot from a rotating swivel chair. Or are you trying to intimate this is not a panning shot?
