Native & Wild Bees
Challenge has finished
In this challenge show us your local bees: the carpenter, mason, blue-banded, miner, solitary bees, and any of the thousands of bee species which are not 'domesticated' Honey Bees, or Bumblebees, which had their own challenges recently. NO hover flies, spiders etc. The bee/bees must be outside, on flowers, leaves, buzzing around, or just doing what bees do; NOT under studio lights. Macro shots welcome. Google information for your local native or wild bees; or go to http://bugguide.net/node/view/8267/bgpage?from=0
SIZE DOES MATTER: See below.
