That's the iconic Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai, India, right outside the Gateway of India.

Yes you are spot on ! Unfortunately after the attack on the Taj Mahal hotel the police decided to erect barricades around the hotel which obscure the hotel from the vantage point I had chosen for the above photo.

Thanks ! This was taken in Mumbai, India. The hotel in the background is the world renowned Taj Mahal hotel which came under attack by gun wielding terrorists in 2008. This hotel was purposefully chosen for attack since a large part of the guests are foreign nationals.
