Blurry Subject, Crisp Background

Challenge #7 in the The Art of Contradiction series. Hosted by sagebrushfire.

This should push the limits of your creativity. I want the subject (and there MUST be a subject, no landscapes) to be out of focus while the background is crisp and clear. This goes against most peoples' instincts when taking photos.

Just one of the handful street photos I've captured few weeks ago. I initially planned to focus on the girl, but I forgot to set my focus point in the center, so it focused on the surrounding background instead. Coincidentally there was the man sitting on the column to the left which was brought into focus. All of it happened in a split second, and I kinda like the resulting image actually.
