Mozzy, I agree with you on the merits (or lack of) of this particular photo, but these are popularity contests, not judgements on the technical merits of a photo - unfortunately. It's evident that the participation rate in these challenges has been declining over the last 6 months, with some the challenges attracting a participation rate of 20% or less.

This comment should be an example for all of us, amateurs or prophesionals, of how to write a constructive critique if we share one of the purposes of this site, among others, the learning of photography. You are welcome to sneak in my gallery/ challenges, have a look and make a killing with your critique, I can not wait too long.

Nice background, nice car, but uninspiring composition w/ poor framing.

The main element competes against none other than a bush that takes up 1/4 of the frame, and in fact being of the nearly the same color merges with it. And then there's a tree growing straight out of the seat of the car..just bad composing altogether.

The framing suggests that foreground object is of less interest.

The fact that this photo won tells me these challenges are rubbish.
