I'm not certain that it should necessarily be classified as a "hobby" but, in my circles, I would consider it just that. Hell, for some of my friends, watching movies is more than a hobby, it's a lifestyle. This one may be a little more difficult to figure out, so I didn't put a capture date rule on it. I don't want a photo of Pulp Fiction playing on your TV. Maybe a photo of your DVD collection or movie action figures. Maybe you have a copy of a famous movie script or movie posters on your wall. Show me your representation of movies.

Wow, awesome setup.
It reminds me *very* much of my friend in South Carolina's setup.
His setup also has high end tube amps, and some weird white plastic speakers that flare out like the bell of a trumpet- only they're about 3' or 4' feet in diameter.
Man cave indeed. We ladies like this sort of thing too... :-)

Thanks and yes, it's not an exclusive room for men,lol. My wife also like this room, which is primarily intended for movies, musics and video games. She like watching movies :)

How can those 6 front speakers work in harmony, compared to a simpler setup with two large speakers?

There are four pairs of front speakers, one on top of the screen (front high left and right), one for the sides (front wide left and right), and two pairs for front , controlled by a power amplifier which is connected to an AV amp, + one pair on the side of the couch (surround left and right) and one pair behind (surround back left and right). The whole is calibrated per six measurement points by Odyssey technology.
Two pairs of front speakers (properly adjusted) dramatically increases the presence of sound without overlapping sound waves.
In Stereo mode with stereo amps, I select manually the speakers with a specific distribution box and I choose the stereo amp I want to use. Most of the time, in stereo mode, I use only one or two pairs of speaker.

Agree with the LC2, even if the difference is very low with the LC1, but unfortunately there is no more "studio L line" available in France.

Very nice shot and you captured the lighting perfectly.

Man, that's a nice setup but with all those great speakers I'd swap out that LC1 for an LC2. :D
