Painterly Landscape ~ Read The Rules - Capture Date Requirement
Challenge has finished
Your challenge is to create a landscape that looks like it might be a watercolor or oil painting. Although there are many "filters" and "textures" prepackaged with various applications, I would like you to create your own textures to enhance your entry and NOT use the "off the shelf textures". The texture should be consistent with the original image - some examples might be tree bark for a forest, rippling water for a lake etc.

| Notes: | The new layer was applied with highly saturated colors and thus de-emphasized dark clouds and made the sunset colorful and beautiful. A high contrast setting further enhanced this effect. With the Dodge tool, and the brush sizes were controlled to create different enhanced details for the trees, people, mountain and sky. The Diffusion effect was applied to blur the water reflections and faraway trees. |
