objectif, you are, without a doubt, one of the most talented people on this site and I have long admired your work. However, your opinion of picture 4 frankly astonishes me. I was sorely tempted to express my doubts about where those four fives it got came from when I read your comment. Had I voted on this challenge, I probably would not have given it anything at all. Where is the art in that picture ? Something you clearly emphasize so much in your own work. Perhaps I'm just being bad, and no offence to you, but it just seems to me to be a very silly and mediocre effort.

Dear Byron, first of all, thank you very much for your kind words. Then, my purpose of writing what I wrote was in regards to the discussions we have in the "Challenge Discussion Forum" about the problems we have in this voting system! Some cheaters are using it to screw their opponents chance with 0.5 or 1 point votes. With this system, the result is more or less the average of the votes; not the total!... I did not vote for this shot, myself; and, my favorite was the one that won #2. Number 2 also got 0.5!!!... The point I was trying to make is #4 is it that bad that it should deserve 0.5; or is it only to sandbag the shot, which is wrong in my opinion. If I don't like a shot, I just ignore it, I don't vote for it, as I did with #4. BUT I would not give 0.5 to completely screw the average!
This is the problem we have with this voting system and I hope it would be changed soon. Please, follow some of the discussions in Challenge forum! ;)

BTW, Byron, I just checked your entry and noticed you had 0.5X2, 1X2, and 1.5X1 ! But many other shots that are very bad and not as good as yours don't have any of those! I also got 0.5X2 ! ;)
This is the point I was trying to make about this system! ;)
