New Zealand artist Lauren Kitts at Te Kupenga International Stone Sculpture Symposium 2012. The biennial Te Kupenga International Stone Sculpture Symposium brings together international, national and local sculptors for 3 weeks of carving the local Andesite boulders. This was January 2012. The sculptors were daily to be seen on the New Plymouth foreshore in Taranaki, New Zealand. At the end of the exhibition there was a public auction of works on the 21st January 2012 .
