BUT

This is in my opinion the BEST photo I think I have ever seen.
Truely spectacular. I have just sat here on many an occasion and just been amazed.

nictitating membrane to be exact. To clean the eye every 3 to 4 seconds and vertically wipes from the front to the back. It is translucent so the eagle can still see. This is a very good photo, mind If i make it my desktop background? :-)

What about the rear ones eye? Is he blind on that eye or is it shut?
