Do you remember when indoor plumbing was not common? Neither do I but I have found many outhouses still exist (though not really utilized). I am looking for historic examples of these and not the metal type used at festivals and other public places. Enjoy.

Thanks! Agreed, less of a need for privacy than normal. but lots of animals out there - you want to be able to do your business in peace without something biting yer bum!

OK, fair point. I once had to go about my business in a virtual desert with wild boars roaming around. Boars regard your 'waste' as 'food', so it was not a very memorable experience as you can imagine! Very handy to keep a small pile of rocks handy in such cases... :-)

Maybe I am missing the point, but I don't quite see the need for privacy here - given that there is nothing in the surrounding area... :-p

Hmm, with the grass at about a metre high (or three feet for those not on the metric system), I hardly think that you would be in the 'full view' of anyone... Just sayin'...

Sorry, I couldn't tell that this was a camp-site (no camps in site), though I can see how it can be a nice spot to do just that.
