I feel annoyed that I'm having to justify this SIMPLE capture !

Thank you so much, IcyVeins, by showing yourself to know absolutely nothing about photography and coming across as a bit daft ! I assure you there is nothing but a bit of saturation and cropping in my photo. Bearing in mind that the photo was taken in the evening, the time during which the lambs are most playful, one would not expect to see a shadow due to the low angle of light - It's taken with a 300mm lens, I have about another 7 shots in the series and chose this ! Incidentally I used Microsoft Digital Image Suite and not Photoshop and I didn't expect to win - Just look at my other crap photos - I've looked at yours ! They're pretty crap too and very photoshopped ! ha ha ha ha ha!

I loved this photo. It stands out among a beautiful but boring sea of flower pics (I myself posted a close up flower...). Thumbs up from me.

One or both of the two foreground sheep look photoshopped. There is no shadow beneath either of them, and the "out of focus" areas look like they could have easily just been blurred. Note that there does appear to be a shadow behind the background sheep and that is plainly lacking in either of the two in the foreground.

And on top of all that the composition is uninteresting, the colors are too cool, the image lacks depth, and at the end of the day it's three sheep on grass; this photo should not have even come close to winning.
