For me who lives in Switzerland, in the mountains (Alps) this picture is the vision I have of the real America, the one on the other side of the main avenues.
Great shot, almost like a painting (HDR perhaps?)

This was a competition about gas station artifacts and not about how HDR plays a role here. The rules specified that if we use HDR, it would be minor HDR. I did use HDR and it helped with the highlighted areas on the lighter gas related items from being blown out.

As far as the picture being boring, everyone is allowed their opinion and I welcome them. I am really into old cars and gas stations, so I enjoy this subject and photo.

I don't see this as boring at all, sorry. I see it is a kick butt shot that screams vintage Americana with some awesome composition about it.
