***This is a complex challenge, please read the instructions and the and the comments first.*** Enter one photo that you entered in any previous challenge, which -to your dismay- scored below 50%. This challenge is to find out why. Also give a link to that particular entry and elaborate. Also enter a -dummy- photo as shown in the example below as a second picture, see for elaboration the comment in the example. Then give constructive comment on all other photos. Eventually you can enter a second improved version of your first picture by withdrawing the dummy and use that free slot.

•Each entrant must, on their honor first, write a helpful Comment/Critique for the other 19 entries during the entry pase. It should be describing what they like and/or dislike about the photo, and what they may have done differently,
•After receiving comments you can enter a second improved version of your first picture.
•Include "second version" in the title.
•DO NOT WITHDRAW THE FIRST PHOTO THOUGH. we should be able to compare them.
•The number of participants is limited to 20. This cannot be reflected in the total entry limit. It will be announced in the comments when the challenge is full. Expect DQ if you enter after that.
•Comply with the standard DPR decency rules.
•Failure to comply with these rules may result in DQ.

Bit cropped, but still hopeless. Thank you all for opening my eyes to see how bad this shot really is.

I don't think the crop helps much, although it does highlight the focus point better.
It's not that it's a bad shot, just that it doesn't stand out that much.

this is a much improved version. still, i agree with Patty Capps comments.
i would suggest cropping to show mostly the upper right corner, in a square format , that would eliminate the background diversion in the left upper corner.
of course, the best solution would be to take a new shot that would illustrate this nice idea of a wet red flower.

LOL! Now hold on there a minute! It's not entirely a lost cause (in my opinion). I do believe I see some water drops that are quite sharp here. This crop is working better at allowing me to see the front flower without the distraction of the background one. I'm going to venture guessing that an even tighter more radical crop might end up making something fairly spectacular out of this. What would happen if you cropped from the center of the flower to the right -following the right petal all the way to the end of the frame, then crop the top and bottom to make that into a horizontal frame? It would still be wet, and fit into the category it was entered in. And I think it would be stunning seeing all those drops in "macro" fashion. Try it and see...you might be surprised at how good this "bad" photo actually is...
