An improved or combined picture and its original(s)

Challenge #24 in the variable subjects I series. Hosted by Lext123.
Challenge has finished
Show me a composition of two (or more) pictures: one that has been edited (or combined) to make it better, funnier, more artistic, etc., and the original(s) used to create the final result. Combine the pictures together into one image. Keep the edited result on the RIGHT -, or UPPER part of your composition (see sample pictures). Subjects and type of editing are free to choose. Voters should take every aspect into account: final result, difficulty, originality, artistic ability and composition layout. This will be the last challenge in this series. Have fun.

Two Echinacea flowers, one mature and the other just coming into bloom. I like the way Gabriel Garcia Marquez's writing gently leads a reader in and out of fantasy. Add that to a bit of Georgia O'Keeffe influence and there we go.
