The Seattle Clown J.P. Patches has been entertaing children in Western Washington since about 1960. He had his own TV show that I watched when I was a child. He has donated his time and energy to boys and girls clubs. Raised money & volunteered until just this year when he had to retiredue to failing health from cancer. Because of his effeorts many kids were saved from dire conditions. He was a role model to so many of us who grew up in Western Washington. I took this shot of him at his last public appearance, which brought tears to my old eyes. There were so many people in attendance I could barely get close enough, or high enough, to him to get a photo. I simply love him.
