In this series, the challenges will be based on simple photographic issues with little restrictions. However, each entrant is also obliged to give comment about all other entires in the series. Voting is optional. In this first series, the subject is free, it's only required to shoot it after the announcement date

Processing rules:

Post processing is as cosmetics, use a little and it enhances the end result artistically. Use too much and the result is blatantly artificial, which is frawned upon in this challenge. So HDR and standard basic post processing is okay, as long as it is not overwhelmingly noticable.
No compositions, we want honest pictures

Capture date rules:

Images must be shot after the announcement date of the challenge.

Additional rules:

Each entrant must, on their honor first, write a helpful Comment/Critique for the other 19 entries no later than the ending of the voting phase. Furthermore, they are also cordially invited to comment on the example picture. The comment should be about what they like and/or dislike about the photo, and what they may have done differently, Failure to comply with this rule may result in disqualification eventually.
To allow proper evalutation and balancing loading times, the longest side of the submitted picture should be no less than 1000 pixels and no more than 1600 pixels
Comply with the standard DPR decency rules.
No recycling; photos must not have been entered in previous challenges.

So we left the museum (Naturalis, Leiden the Netherlands) today to see this. The picture certainly qualifies the entry date, and the contestants are invited to comment on this

Thanks for your comments. I concur with all.

But picture this, we were exiting that museum, 30 minutes later than planned, in a hurry and then you see this. So I took a few seconds and had to run to catch up with the others. Unfortunately, you can't make an appointment with this kind of phenomena at a scenic site. It's just there and only for a couple of minutes. Mind that this was mainly sunset, with an extreme dynamic range. The buildings were almost featureless for the naked eye as well, where-as both the storm clouds to the right and the cloud layer were very dark too, the only very bright light came from beyond the buildings.

I pp'ed it as soon as we came home -pulling the shadows up- and when I had time, to reflect the fresh memory of the real lighting the best.

If there was more light on the buildings in the lower side of the picture it would have looked better

the orange is amazing, however the 'stunningness' is lost with the buildings, perhaps maybe find a more suitable foreground next time also maybe just a few milliseconds longer with the shutter too, bring in just a little more light.

I want this to be a little lighter, but I know you don't want the dramatic clouds to be lost. I see such clarity in the lower buildings but I feel like the picture should be lightened further.
