Absolutely stunning photo!!! Great colors and contrast! How were you able to capture so much vibrance and color in the foreground?

I was standing close enough to the lighthouse that fill flash helped a lot, in post I brought up the exposure in shadows and brought it down in the sky ... I was not as careful as I could be and caused the strange anomolies that Smecta thought were due to an HDR routine.

PS for those of you that question my pp ... I spent about 5 minutes on it and it shows. I adjusted exposure as stated above and gave it a bump in saturation. I consider that minor editing as the rules state.

This IS an HDR. The tree branches' endings are too dark, and you missed to darken a pair of holes in the bridge near the lighthouse. Its clearly an HDR. I don't like when people lie..

To me it seems more like a selection was applied to all elements but the sky and then a Curves adjustment (or similar) was applied to this part of the image to bring up the shadows. I won't comment further on the rules of the challenge, but to me this doesn't seem to be a HDR - at least in the traditional sense (multiple exposures combined into one image).
