What My Dreams Begat

Winter Dreams is about chasing wealth and thinking it will bring you happiness.In the book,Dexter gains his wealth, but ends up feeling empty. I used winter white colors in the fabric and pearls, (which along with the money, also connotate wealth) and somewhat dark lighting to add to a feeling of depression.

Ironic that your entry received a couple of 0.5 stars when yours was one of the *few* that actually reflected the theme of the short story! I gave this one 5.0 it deserved for actually following the theme of the challenge. The pretty pictures get boring after awhile, it's nice to see subject matter being explored in a more interpretational style.

WOW ! See what playing by the rules ( EXPRESS PERSONAL INTERPRETATION of Fitzgerald's short story, 'Winter Dreams " ) gets you these days ? To quote a few lines from a popular song of the 1920s, "Life is just a bowl of cherries..... Don't take it serious, It's too mysterious...JUST LIVE AND LAUGH AT IT ALL ..... :-) Nice try !
