Notes:	Taken using a scope hired on my lightbuckets account. This final image is the culmination of 20x 6 second shots of L,R,G,B, plus bias, flats and light frames. Combined using Maxim DL, final stretching and processing in Photoshop CS2.

I forgot to mention that I had some H alpha and O III frames too, all Six second subs. Maxim DL takes a lot of getting used to - it's not an easy application imho, but it is VERY powerful.

M42 is my favourite object in the sky (just ahead of Omega Centauri) - it's a wonderful view from a dark sky with a O III filter. My own scope is only a 4" SkyWatcher Equinox refractor on a SkyWatcher EQ6 Pro mount - one day it'll be upgraded to a Takahashi scope and Astro Physiks mount...one day.
