Detail(s) of a BIG town (no human beings nor animals) - pls read the rules

Some time, even a chaotic, huge city can have a romantic mood of its own, or can represent itself from another angle of view. The aim of this challenge is to tell a story of a big and usually crowded city WITHOUT the crowd, in order to show only that modern/artificial environment in which people move. Pls note: MANDATORY to write down anywhere the name of the city. This challenge doesn't aim to determine how big has to be a city in order not to be considered as a village...
