I came across this creature during my trip to the Lycian coast in the south of Turkey, at small nature resort in a place called 'Kabak' where there are tree houses within woods from which it's a few minutes walk to a beach. I'm not a specialist in insects & bugs so I did some research and it looks like a short winged grasshopper, probably a female one. This one seems to be quite unique as it's pink (similar to the color of skin) which I have read is quite rare. I chose this picture for Travel & Nature as on the right you can see the green nature in the background, and on the left you see a door which can symbolize travel/accommodation. What I also really like is the focus on the spikes on her legs, and that she seems to bee looking straight into the lens.

|Notes:||I have many more suitable sharper & newer pictures, taken with my Nikon D700, but I chose this one (which I took with my old Nikon Coolpix 5700) as it seems to be the perfect picture for this contest.|
