The trails may very well be real but the colors are only added in post processing. Star trails are never colored like this

The saturation has been pushed up but they are the natural colors of the stars, the human eye doesn't see them very well. Set your camera to sunlight white balance and take a 30 second shot of the stars and you'll see the colors.

On this one I took 300 x 60 second shots and stacked them, no filters used.
