Photographer audition: Jazz concert

The client is a music promotion company from another city. They are planning a series of small jazz concerts in the area and are seeking photographers to cover the event. They want to audition the photographers by having them submit one or two excellent photos of jazz concerts. They want shots of the musicians and their instruments, not the audience. As such, they expect tightly cropped images, but if you have an environmental scene that really captures the performance, they will certainly consider the image.
