This laptop died on me about a year ago (most likely culprit is the video card). Yes, it's a power-hungry desktop chip in a laptop; they didn't make too many of the things for a reason (atrocious battery life). It performed quite well, and I did like its particular arrangement of heat sinks and fans too.
