Why a prime? With a wonderful face like this to snap, the question actually should be why NOT? This is my wee kitty Angus, the first portrait taken with my Minolta 50mm f/1.7 I bought just over a week ago. Compared to the kit lens I got with my Sony A230....well let's just say it's like the difference between an AMC Pacer and a Porsche..there IS no comparison.
