Google for tutorial in photoshop (although i assure, the first link is much easier to do tilt-shift with than photoshop).
If I think that the tilt-shift effect isn't notice-able it will be DSQ'ed at my discretion.

I guess that is the main reason but did they not even know there are other uses for tilt shift lenses...

Hello there,

I guess the reason is that the entire challenge - bar a few entries - revolved around the model-scale look achieved using the web-based Tiltshift Maker software. When you look at the vast majority of entries, this is what they try to illustrate. Very few actually took the tilt-shift to the word, i.e. using perspective controlled psecial lenses.

I don't think this is a winning picture but I can't understand why there would be six .5 votes. It was obviously taken with a tilt shift lens so it meets the requirements, unless I am missing something. If I am, I would like to know.

It was taken with a Canon TSE-24, a tilt shift lens (and it was tilted to focus specifically on the hand and the page where the the fingers are touching it. Also, someone gave it a 5.

I would have commented earlier but the comments have not been working.
