An unprecedented cold snap gripped the UK during December 2010 with temps locally dropping to -10C. Capturing a star trail requires leaving a camera out all night in such extreme conditions. Some might call this mission impossible....but it depends on the camera gear one uses :-)

Very awesome and interesting... amazing situation and shot!.
I'd use some sort of heater for keeping the camera/lens ice free meanwhile getting a nice shot.

Yep....Olympus it has to be for the All Weather Use that is seen here.Nice capture and I am pretty sure the camera must be working perfectly fine.

The lens is totally frozen, so i am hard pressed to believe you got any shots out of it.

If the camera has god weathersealing like some Nikon camera's, then it can stand quite a beating.
