Show us your best landscape shot with a Canon Powershot or EOS digital camera. The theme is landscapes in the broadest sense: from city to seashore and everything in between - if it's scenic (and has no faces in the frame), and is taken with a Canon, it will be eligible. Note that this is just a normal challenge: the images will NOT be used for any purpose by Canon, and our normal T&C's apply.

Processing rules:

Only minor brightness, contrast and sharpness corrections allowed.

* Images must not contain any identifiable persons
* No post-processing beyond basic contrast, brightness and sharpness tweaks
* To reiterate: the pictures will not be used for anything beyond this challenge, and will not be used by Canon.

All the top ranking photos are ALL HDRs! It was clearly stated that Only minor adjustments are allowed in your Rules.

If HDR is not considered post processing beyond basic contrast, brightness and sharpness tweaks, then I really dun know what else is?!

Yes, HDRs are really nice which I would have posted my HDR pictures as well, but rules are rules! If the rules did not state "just minor adjustments", I believe this contest will be filled with beautiful HDR pictures.

I seriously think this is unfair to those who complied to the rules and submitted non-HDR pictures. A re-judgement of the photos is to be seriously considered.

this was my favorite. really a superbe shot. like coming from another world!
I see you used a filter to render a better contrast with the sun light and the rest of the picture. Maybe you should try HDR pictures because that does also very well what you are looking for.
