Creepy!!!

This is a wall inside the Capela dos Ossos (“Chapel of Bones”) next the Igreja Real de São Francisco in Evora, Portugal. You are admonished at the entrance with the following inscription: “Nós ossos que aqui estamos pelos vossos esperamos” or “We bones that are here . . . await yours.” Indeed, the Chapel was built in the 17th century from the remains of 5,000 monks – apparently to communicate the transitory nature of life. I’d say it does that pretty well, but it is also quite creepy.
