whilst admiring your photo my contorted imagination started wondering if it could be done by merging three captures of the same swan dritfting from left to right. My knowledge of PP would allow me to do it.
Too cheeky to ask if you did this? A positive answer wouldn't reduce by a fraction both the aesthetic value of the image nor the worthiness of the author.

Sorry for answering so late...;-)
These are actually three different swans, two older ones (parents?) and a young one in front of them. This scene is 100% natural, only major postprocessing was to remove some dirt in the water and removing noise without killing too much of the details - small G11 sensor...
