Young girls in rural Mozambique often are given the task to look after their younger siblings, especially when the mothers are working the fields. Taken in the Buroma village, close to Tete city, Mozambique.

congratulations! i've been looking at this exposure for couple of minutes. their faces..., the lour, their eyes... i do not see this every day that's why it has a huge impact on me. i know that this scene, "the task to look after their younger siblings" is not unusual among poor families. this exposure makes us think at our happy childhood and our happy family.

Joggie,
This is undoubtedly the best photo submitted in this challenge IMHO. Yours is a very compelling image that, at least to me, illustrates the core of family as demonstrated through the ages - doing what one must without any complaint to support the survival of the family. Actions demonstrate love "louder" than words ever can, and your photo effectively delivers that message.
